God uses people:

God uses ordinary people, such as Gideon. Then the Lord turned to him (Gideon) and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?” So, he said to Him, “O my Lord,” how can I save Israel? Indeed, my clan is the weakest in Manasseth, and I am the least in my father’s house.” And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midiannites as one man.” Judges 6:14-16 NKJV God did not see Gideon as he was, God saw him as who he could be. God wants to do extraordinary things through ordinary people. And we know in fact that God did exactly that through Gideon. The ministry has been blessed and God has done extraordinary things through ordinary people. Ordinary people that were and are willing to be used by God. As we reported in our last newsletter, or preschool (L’ll Lambs) was in dire need of a new roof. We are very happy to report that we have a new roof, thanks to our wonderful folks at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church. Also, as reported in our last newsletter because of a special donation by some folks at Mid-Way Baptist Church we purchased 33 bibles, on one occasion I gave two Swazi ladies a Bible each and what a blessing as both literally jumped for joy and praised God when they received the Bibles. Once again, someone from Mid-Way Baptist donated another $300.00 dollars to purchase bibles. We have just launched a new ministry partnership with Hospice at Home Swaziland and will be providing them with the BGR (hospice) buckets this week, we will also include Bibles to be given to the families that receive the buckets, thanks to the donor from Mid-Way. It is almost graduation time at the preschools, starting November 19-21 we will be conducting 3 graduations. So proud of our preschoolers for their accomplishments. We are praying for funding for a cover and stove to be built at Ngowane, one of the preschools we help partner with. Kids Bible Clubs are doing great. The oldest Kids club at Nsangweni are starting to understand the Bible most of these children have been attending since we started 4 years ago, They are full of questions and several have accepted Christ as their savior. Please pray for the newest Bible club. We have a long way to go to start explaining the Love of Christ. FYI; we will be in the states starting November 26, 2018 until March 1, 2019. This will be our first official furlough in 8 years and our first Christmas with Lincoln. If any of you would like for Diane and I to speak to your Church of Sunday School to share what God is doing through Second Mile Ministries (Swaziland) we would be honored to come and share. Please contact us via email or facebook. Love in Christ, Don & Diane Page

Blessed

“And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work”. 2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV The power of God, God is able. Paul was writing to the Corinthians about the power of God to supply material things they needed, whatever it takes to get God's work done And then provides grace , All that it takes to meet whatever pressures you are under. That is God,s provision. God will use His people , that are willing to do His good work. Are you one willing to be involved in doing good works? Works that help others, works that minister to the needs of others? That is what God wants from all His people. God does not expect us to do everything but He does expect us to do something. What Is Your Something? God's blessings comes in many ways. One of those ways is His people doing His will. Diane and I have been blessed in so many ways this year. The ministry has been blessed in so many ways. One was in late April, we were invited to attend a Missions Conference at Mid- Way Baptist Church in Raleigh N.C. It was a very special time of renewal , fellowship and encouragement. We are so blessed to be one of Mid-Ways missions?/missionaries that they support. Another special blessing was to recently have a team of nine from our home church Piney Grove Chapel Baptist, they were able to come and help us for some days, to see first hand what they are helping to support. Truly a blessing to have home church family here. They were such a big blessing to Diane and I and to the many Swazi people they ministered to. Blessings upon blessings, because of a gracious few we were able to purchase an eight seater van. Now we have plenty of room to provide transport for those desiring to attend our discipleship and kids club ministry. We will also be able to take the kids to a local Game park to see the animals of their country, many of them have never had to opportunity to see. Thanks to Mid-Way Baptist for a special gift to purchase Bible's we have been able to buy thirty-three children's and adult bibles that are translated in the Swazi language. Our new partnership in Lsesibovu and Ngowane are going well. God is continuing to open doors of opportunity to other ministry areas that we are praying about . We know if these are God's will He will provide what is needed. We look forward to what God has for us and the ministry for the second half of 2018. Our pre-School, Lil' Lambs building is in dire need of a new roof. The old one is literally pouring in when it rains. We trust God in helping us raise the funds needed to replace the old roof during this dry season and before our next rainy season. God has already provided some of the funds but we are still in need of $2,000.00 dollars. 2018 Happy New Year

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. (NIV) As we enter into a New Year not knowing what is ahead of us this scripture came to mind. We have our plans both personal and for the ministry, however we do not know what really lies ahead of us in 2018. This scripture says to me what ever happens in this new year God knows about it and has already made a plan for it. And whatever lies ahead it will be the best for us because God knows what is best. Reflecting back 2017 was overall a good year. In many ways a great year, we saw God’s blessing in so many ways, Personal and ministry. There were ups and downs, not all that we had planned was accomplished and yet things that we did not plan happened. Thank each and everyone that helped us this past year by praying for us and for your financial contribution. God used you to help us help others and to share the love of Jesus. We are looking forward to what God has planned for this year. We ended 2017 with the completion of the stoves and covered seating area for our preschoolers. They will now have a place to sit and eat no matter what the weather. We had five graduate to the first grade. They were so cute in their caps and gowns. We will be adding seven new children for the start of the new school year, giving us a total of 30 children. We had steady growth in numbers both in Kids bible club and adult discipleship. Our hospice/BGR ministry was blessed allowing us to share love and the hope we have in Jesus. We had a few short term mission teams that came and helped us and are looking forward to more this year including our home church (Piney Grove). The Christmas parties for the preschool, Kids Bible Clubs and Adult Bible study were a blessing for us and those who received. We had Chicken and rice for each person this year, along with small gifts of candy and coloring pages for the children. All this celebration for the remembrance of the Greatest Gift of all…. JESUS. We have been refreshing the preschool, painting and adding new supplies, adding swings for the children for recreational time . We have added a “Green” space using old tires that we planted flowers in, we have also been doing some final touches on the cooking area, painting and sealing the cement counter tops. The children seem very excited for the new area. We will begin our new kids bible club and adult discipleship at Lesibovu in the middle of this month. And again: For a life changing experience consider planning a short term mission trip to Swaziland in 2018. We would love to have you come and see what Second Mile is doing but most importantly see what God is doing!
